CSLB Online Renewals

Getting Started

Renew Single Qualifier License

Once you complete this process you will not need to submit any additional paperwork to CSLB and your license record will be updated immediately. This option is only available for license entities with one qualifier.

CSLB Guide to Renewing Your Active Single Qualifier License

Any license with multiple qualifiers must mail or hand deliver a completed renewal form with payment. The option to pay these renewal fees online is not available. To avoid paying delinquency fees, make sure you complete this process before your license expires.

Renew Home Improvement Salesperson Registration

Once you complete this process you will not need to submit any additional paperwork to CSLB, and your HIS Registration will be updated immediately.

License Renewals for Active Duty Military Personnel

CSLB shall waive the renewal fees for a license that will expire during the time a licensee or registrant is called to active duty as a member of the United States Armed Forces or the California National Guard if certain requirements are met. Contact VeteransInfo@cslb.ca.gov.

Workers Compensation Class Codes

All active licensees with a valid Certificate of Workers’ Compensation Insurance shall certify on the license renewal form the three worker’s compensation classification codes for which the highest estimated payroll is reported on the policy. If the licensee has fewer than three classification codes on the policy, the licensee shall provide every classification code listed on the policy. (BPC 7125.6). There will be a place inside the renewal portal to list these codes.

Industry Expert Fees

If you have incurred Industry Experts fees with the Enforcement Division, and have not yet paid them, you will need to pay for them as part of your renewal. (BPC 7137(6)(B)) There will be a place inside the renewals portal that lists these fees if you still owe them.

Please contact Enforcement if you have any questions about these fees.
