Opportunities for Public Participation
The schedule of upcoming Board and Committee meetings is posted on CSLB's website. Regulatory hearings are included as an agenda item during a Board meeting. Agendas for the meetings also are posted on the board's website 10 days prior to the meeting date.
Board and Committee meetings are open and the public is invited to attend. Time is scheduled during the meetings to provide the public with an opportunity to address the Board. The public may speak on items not on the noticed agenda; however, the Board may not take action on such items during the meeting. The public also may speak on items on the noticed agenda before the Board takes action on those items during the meeting.
The public may participate in the rulemaking/regulatory process by submitting written comments to the Board or by presenting oral comments at Board meetings. When the Board proposes to adopt, amend, or repeal one of its regulations, the public is provided an opportunity to submit written comments during the noticed public comments period.
The "Notice of Proposed Action" for each regulatory action explains how the public can comment on draft regulations through electronic mail, by fax, or in person.
