ALERT: Before Filing Your Complaint

Please review How the Complaint Process Works, as the process for licensed contractors is different than the process for unlicensed contractors.

You will need Acrobat Reader to download, print and/or save the Construction Complaint form.

File a Complaint Online

NOTE: Online complaints can be submitted anytime, except between Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and Monday 6 a.m.

This section provides an online form for submitting a temporary Construction Complaint and generates a .pdf of your filled out Construction Complaint form, as well as instructions for final submission and necessary support documentation.

IF YOU WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE FORM, BUT ARE NOT SURE IF YOUR ONLINE COMPLAINT WAS SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED, DO NOT COMPLETE AND SUBMIT ANOTHER ONLINE FORM, as you may create a duplicate complaint and delay the process. Instead, please call (800) 321-CSLB (2752) during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). When the automated operator answers, press 324 on your keypad; this will direct you to a complaint-handling agent to verify submission of your online complaint.

File a Complaint by Mail

This section includes the Construction Complaint form and instructions for filing a complaint by mail.
